Fashion, Food, Style, Art, Design, Music and Tradition are well used words to describe Italia and Italians and the word “Great” precedes those words; however we must also add Love, Passion, Spirit, Beauty, Romance, Flair and individuality to sum up what is the essence of this amazing country and what it brings to our world.
The 2010 Italian Festa on Norton will bring the essence of Italia to life in Sydney - a celebration of all that is Italia.
While respecting the significant past of Italian migration and achievements by Italian Australians we are celebrating Italia of yesterday, today and tomorrow with a whole weekend of exciting events.
Italia is the essence of beautiful extremes and we will invite everyone to be a part of a new Italian experience, to savour it, to remember and return many times to re-live those much loved moments.
Festa 2010 will revitalise Leichhardt and its rightful place, Leichhardt as Sydney’s Little Italy! Festa means fun, party, colour, music, food and celebration on the next few pages we will share with you the Festa 2010 experience.
Classic Sunday Festa
Norton Street will be closed for the occasion from Marion Street – William Street but for the first time there will be a link between the eastern end of Norton Street and the closed section with a series of events in the Italian Forum and the Italian Cultural Centre.
Hundreds of Stalls, specialty Italian experiences, dozens of podium performers, all day concerts, children’s amusements and some very big surprises.
